Are you interested in renting a house or condo?

If your rental budget is at least $1000 per month, you may have house/condo rental options….

In Las Vegas, apartment deposits are normally lower than house/condo deposits, so if $$$ is tight, apartments may make a better choice.

Apartment leases are normally shorter (6 months is common) than house/condo leases.

Private owners often require two months’ rent up front (plus deposits), while apartments don’t always. Again, if $$$ is tight, apartments may make a better choice.

Monthly utility bills are usually higher for houses and condos.

Apartments are easier to “prelease” (make advance arrangements, including holding deposits). Vacant houses and condos can usually only be held a couple of weeks prior to move-in. Apartments, on then other hand, often have vacancies coming up in the future that can be “preleased”.

Houses and condos are shown by appointment (most have lockboxes on them) by a realtor. Most apartment complexes have “model” apartments that can be seen without an appointment.

Apartments normally nave “24-hour” maintenance, on site, while houses and condos don’t. Apartments also have on-site managers.
